Outdated Careers… Really???

I recently introduced myself to a group of moms as a small business and entrepreneur copywriter.

As a young child I wanted to be a writer but the only type of writer I knew about was a book author. While it's an ancient skill, copywriting has evolved over the years and with technology to become one of the most in demand forms of marketing.

So when I came across this article I was conflicted. It's a bit different than the normal article I write about. However, I was shocked by the careers that this article said to steer clear of.

I'll leave it to you to go read WHY but the careers listed are…(drum roll please)

1. Real Estate Agent
2. Taxi Driver
3. Doctor
4. Librarian
5. Cashier
6. Delivery Driver / Mail Carrier
7. Bank Worker
8. Sports Referee
9. Fisher
10. Lawyer
11. Factory Worker
12. Travel Agent

Some of these I was seriously thinking “whaaaat…?”

Do you agree that that these careers are outdated?

And what careers do you see people doing in the future that are new or nonexistent today?
